Position : Junior UI Designer
Working Schedule : 9a-6p EST
Salary Range :$1,400-$1,600 (the final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client)
Junior UI Designer
Our client is a design studio, headquartered in NYC. We are seeking a full-time Junior UI Designer with a strong understanding of UX to work remotely with our team on current and new projects related to crafting digital experiences, including but not limited to: Marketing sites, E-commerce sites and Web apps.
Responsibilities
- Design responsive and interactive sites to be built on Webflow
- Learn and adopt our documentation and UX best practices
- Collaborate with designers and project managers
- Work with developers to convert Figma files to Webflow sites
- Optimize human-centric designs for performance and ADA compliance
- Strong QA skills to find and resolve issues
- Perform audits to identify new and high-potential opportunities for our partners
Qualifications:
Technical Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in visually crafting digital experiences
- Strong UI and visual design skills
- Strong understanding of UX design (project discovery, information architecture, and wireframing)
- Strong to advanced skills in Figma (components, variables, and styles)
- Experience with Zoom, Slack, GSuite
- Experience with project management tools (ClickUp)
- Understanding of brand guidelines to create design systems/inform UI design
- Skills in visual/graphic design skills (typography, color, composition)
- Skills in interaction design
- Ability to balance strong creativity with efficiency in a fast-paced agency environment
Soft Skills:
- System-approach: You think in design systems. You not only can design beautiful, functional websites but are also designing in a way that creates systems, assets, and workflows that scale.
- Communicative: You excel in asynchronous communication through written channels (Slack, email) or video (Loom) and consistently engage with teammates and clients. Strong English language skills are essential.
- Proactive: Whenever tasks or projects are completed, you proactively identify and engage in new work or side
- Fluent English proficiency: You have advanced spoken and written English.

- Candidates with a proven track record of collaboration with designers and managers
- Candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a willingness to teach and simplify complex concepts.
- Candidates with experience in client service (agency or freelance)
- Candidates who self-improve and update their own tasks proactively
- Candidate with a portfolio that showcases strengths in UI and visual design, along with proficiency in modern-day design tools like Figma.
- Candidate with experience in interaction design on the web.
- Candidate who learns / keeps up to date with latest design tools, features, and best practices

What We Offer
- Full-time salary: $1,400 - $1,600/month (based on skill)
- 15 days paid time off
