The Floor Plan Illustrator will be creating clean, accurate, and visually appealing 2D floor plans using Adobe Illustrator. These visuals help clients, buyers, and stakeholders better understand property layouts and envision interior spaces, ultimately supporting sales efforts and enhancing presentation quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create detailed and polished 2D floor plans based on architectural drawings, CAD files, or hand-drawn sketches.
- Accurately represent room dimensions, wall placements, and key structural elements to reflect real-world layouts.
- Apply branding guidelines, consistent line weights, typography, and color schemes to ensure all floor plans align with the client’s or agency’s visual identity.
- Add furniture mockups or layout suggestions as needed to help visualize livable space.
- Work closely with various teams to understand design requirements and tailor floor plans for brochures, websites, and virtual tours.
- Revise illustrations based on client or team feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain an organized file system with clearly labeled and layered Illustrator files for easy updates and reuse.
- Ensure all floor plans are precise, on-brand, and free from visual or technical errors.
- Regularly check measurements, layout accuracy, and readability across different viewing platforms.
- Stay informed about real estate marketing trends and bring fresh ideas to improve visual communication.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator – Must be highly skilled in creating clean, scalable, and well-organized vector floor plans using Illustrator.
- Attention to Detail – Accuracy in dimensions, labels, and layout presentation is essential to reflect real-world property specifications.
